New Versions of Award-Winning OpenRIP PDF Workflow Software

At drupa, Xanté will introduce new versions of OpenRIP® Symphony and OpenRIP® Flexo Professional, which substantially strengthen the abilities of small and mid-size offset and flexographic printers to compete for higher end business with minimal investment. The new versions will offer integrated PANTONE® color library support for the color database; high-end enhanced StripRITE Imposition that allows the mixing of page sizes and orientations on a press sheet; Freeform Ganging that provides fast, flexible output, saving time and media; linearization and dot gain enhancements; halftone processing features, and more.

Xanté CEO, Robert Ross, says, “Our OpenRIP PDF workflow features the Adobe® PDF Print Engine (APPE) and PostScript® 3™ technologies. This robust core combined with Xanté engineering gives our customers unparalleled scalability, flexibility and high end workflow automation for the least money.”

Affordable Ilumina 502 Delivers Short-Run Color Printing on Oversized, Ultra Thick Cover

Xanté will officially unveil the new Ilumina 502 to the European marketplace. The Ilumina 502 easily handles a wide range of paper weights, from text to ultra thick cover, 75 to 502 gsm, at an affordable price. Print shops can now make money producing short run four-color jobs on a wide range of substrates that have been previously unavailable for digital printing. The Ilumina 502 digital press is capable of printing fiber-enhanced papers such as textured canvas, sleek metallic, cast coated, and magnetic stocks.

New Xanté Magnetic Digital Media

Attendees at drupa will see new Xanté Myriad™ Magnetic digital media; a flexible, rubber magnet digital media that is specifically designed for short-run, full color printing on the Ilumina. Myriad Magnetic media is perfectly suited for outdoor applications such as magnetic signs on autos and promotional signs. The 0.5 mm thick material can also be used for promotional items including refrigerator magnets, magnetic photos, business cards and more. The magnetic media is available in letter (216 mm x 280 mm), A4 (210 mm x 297 mm) and 13" x 19" (330 mm x 482 mm) sizes.

Easy-to-use, Affordable, Process-free, Landscape Platesetter

Also in the Xanté stand is Impressia GTO, the process-free, 2-up landscape, metal platesetter. Building on the success of popular and proven Impressia technology, the easy-to-use, new Impressia GTO gives print shops greater format flexibility and typically prints at 72 seconds per plate for the 16.5" x 25" (419 mm x 635 mm) plate size.

VM4 Violet Metal Computer-to-Plate System

Xanté will be showing the VM4 violet metal CTP platesetter at drupa. Simple to use and highly reliable, the VM4 prints up to 36.5" x 25" (927 mm x 635 mm) max plate size at 2540 dpi with linescreens of over 200 lpi. Tightly integrated with the OpenRIP Symphony PDF workflow, the complete VM4 system includes an internal drum platesetter and the P24 photopolymer plate processor.
